Recipe - Jar Cookies/Treats

Jar cookies and treats are adorable gifts. Also they are fantastic for easy mixing! The best tip for these is basically to leave out the wet ingredients. But sure to add those tags so that special person knows how to bake them!

This is the favorite cookie, but it can be changed for almost any homemade treat.

Chocolate Chip - 1 quart Jar
3/4 cup and 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup packed brown sugar

You can add your ingredients in any order for a different look. Combine the flour, baking soda, sugar and chocolate chips in a bowl.

Place the flour mixture in first, its kinda odd but made to fit in here so that is why the measurements are weird. After the flour pack in the brown sugar, you can alternate with white sugar if needed! Brown just adds more flavor. Add more chocolate chips for a fun last layer and seal it up!

Empty content of jar into a bowl. In a separate bowl combine 3/4 cup of butter, 1 and 1/2 egg, and one 1 tsp vanilla. Beat until well combined and creamy. Add to dry mixture. Cook on an ungreased cookie sheet at 375 F for 8 - 10 minutes or until edges are golden.

You can modify this basic step by step for almost any of your favorite homemade recipe!

Cocoa - make many!

6 cups Instant Nonfat Dry Milk
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons Baking Cocoa
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows, (optional)

Want to make it extra dreamy? Add some small chocolate pieces!

Measure 1/2 cup mix into mug. Stir in 1 cup hot water or milk.

This one is my favorite, everyone loves a warm drink in winter and Hot Cocoa is a staple! Adding your own flair, like peppermints or cinnamon is even better!
